Reminders: School Closures Nov. 7th and Nov. 10th

Just a reminder that school will be closed Friday Nov. 7th for staff development and Monday Nov. 1oth for parent teacher conferences. Though many of you have likely met either formally or informally to check in about student progress, this is a time for you to discuss any concerns, reflelct on progress thus far, discuss what lies ahead and any number of other areas that may be important to your family.

Most of all, this is a time when parents and teachers come together to develop plans to meet the needs of the children. There are ways parents can prepare for the scheduled event that will make the most of the time available. The National Education Association has a number of useful suggestions, the Family Education site offers Five Must Ask Questions and Discovery Education is similar to the Family Education site but expands on it somewhat. And of course, you can google for your own ideas.

Please note that child care will not be available for Friday Nov.7th and will be available for parent teacher conferences.
